Christopher Gorczynski, MDI am currently a full-time orthopedic surgeon. I see patients in the office 3 days each week, and I spend two days each week performing joint replacements of the shoulder, hip, and knee and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee including rotator cuff and labral repair, meniscal surgery, and ACL reconstruction.
Well into my 13th year in practice, my focus has consistently been on improving my patients healthcare experience and on minimizing risks/complications. In my quest, I have increasingly focused on patient optimization pre-operatively through proper nutrition and education, and carefully managed post-operative rehabilitation. I completed two terms as the Chief of Surgery at my hospital during which time I developed a deeper understanding of the business, legal, and governmental issues influencing healthcare delivery. Testimonials:
Dr. Gorczynski has been my orthopedic physician for over 8 years now and I can honestly say I would never go to anyone else. I have been dealing with severe arthritis in my knees through which he has doctored me with treatments until my first knee replacement last year. He is always patient in explaining every procedure and answering all questions. He takes whatever time is needed for each patient, letting the person think through their options and make educated decisions while never forcing his opinions on anyone especially regarding surgery. I went through years of trying every type of injection, braces and medications available before he helped me to make the decision to operate. Being that I was only 44, this was a big decision for me, however I felt completely confident making the resolution to replace my knee and I couldn’t be happier now that I did it. I had worried that perhaps the surgery would take away the pain of my arthritis but that I would still not be able to do the things I wanted to be able to do at my age. Because of Dr. Gorczynski’s expert surgical skill and knowledge coupled with a precise rehabilitation plan, I am now (one year after surgery) walking, running, playing sports, taking stairs without difficulty – living the active life I haven’t been able to live for some years now. No one can even guess that I’ve had my knee replaced. I have no regrets whatsoever with my decision to operate. I still need one more knee operation, but I will certainly not hesitate in going through with it knowing that I’m in the best of hands. I would trust Dr. Gorczynski with any surgery and only wish he could do more than just orthopedic operations! I also want to state that the care I got in the hospital during and after surgery was also exceptional. Everyone was most kind and solicitous and I left knowing exactly what I had to do to get well quickly and I was always able to get answers to any questions during my recovery time. Thank you, Dr. Gorczynski and all the staff at the hospital for giving people hope and health again. ~ Sr. Madeleine Marie Reinier ~
Dr. Gorczynski was patient with me while I considered my options before finally deciding to replace my left knee.
He and his assisstant, Anina, gave me two exercises to do immediately following the surgery - even before I started physical thereapy. I'm convinced that those exercises in combination with an excellent surgical procedure have immeasurably speeded up my recovery.
I recommend Dr. Gorczynski.
